SUMMARY:Laurie Lewis w/ Sully Tuttle
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: This will be a duo show with Laurie and Sully Tuttle. Sully is considered one of the most innovative young guitarists on the scene today. (You may remember him a few years back when he played with AJ Lee & Blue Summit – amazing!) This pairing may not happen again any time soon!\n\nFor nearly four decades\, Laurie Lewis has gathered fans and honors for her powerful and emotive voice and her versatile\, dynamic songwriting. She is a sought-after recording producer and an equally skilled teacher and mentor. And she is an inspiration and a ground-breaker – across genres\, across geography and across gender barriers.  Laurie will be performing as a duo.\n\n“To ask how Laurie Lewis’s music is relevant in this day and age\, in the broader folk\, Americana\, and bluegrass scenes as a whole\, would be similar to asking how a brick in a home’s foundation is relevant to its structure. Her influence\, her reach and her artistic intent are quiet stalwarts on which so much has been built.”\nJustin Hiltner\, Bluegrass Situation\n\n\nWatch Video Here

SUMMARY:Hillstomp
DESCRIPTION:Portland Oregon junkbox blues duo HILLSTOMP is infamous for digging through the dumps and forgotten backwoods of American music\, recycling traditional elements into a refreshing and distinctive brand of do-it-yourself hill country blues stomp. North Mississippi trance blues\, a bit of Appalachia\, and a dash of punkabilly come clanging and tumbling from assorted buckets\, cans and BBQ lids\, all drenched in rambunctious slide guitar. Somehow it works. \nDespite their homemade instruments and novel approach\, Hillstomp is no novelty act. \nHillstomp’s memorable live performances tap into a magic that cannot be rehearsed\, converting outlaws and traditionalists alike from skeptics into preachers. \n \n \n

SUMMARY:Curtis Salgado
DESCRIPTION:“Glorious and memorable… Salgado’s voice is center stage just as it should be. Highly recommended” – Blues & Rhythm UK \n“Salgado’s vocals are soulful beauty. Fresh\, unexpected\, authentic\, percolating…perfectly executed… simply delicious” – Living Blues \n“Salgado inspires chills. Upbeat and original…poignant and wise with a great sense of humor” – Blues Music Magazine \nIn total\, Curtis has won eleven Blues Music Awards\, including the B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year. DownBeat calls his songwriting skills “an impressive gift.” Billboard says Salgado’s music is “inspired and powerful.”  Now\, Salgado is back with Fine By Me\, the latest evidence of Salgado wielding his impressive songwriting and vocal skills to a wide variety of styles. His music has dashes of blues\, gospel\, R&B\, jazz\, funk\, rock ’n’ roll and soul at any given moment. \nBy his early 20s he was already making a name for himself in Eugene’s bar scene\, first as the vocalist/harmonica player of The Nighthawks\, and later as co-leader of The Robert Cray Band. Salgado quickly developed into a player and singer of remarkable depth\, with vocal and musical influences including Otis Redding\, O.V. Wright\, Muddy Waters\, Little Walter\, Sonny Boy Williamson I and II\, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Howlin’ Wolf. \nIn 1977\, comedian/actor John Belushi was in Eugene filming Animal House. During downtime from production\, Belushi caught a typically ferocious Salgado performance and introduced himself during a break. Once Salgado started sharing some of his blues knowledge\, a fast friendship grew. Salgado spent hours playing old records for Belushi\, teaching him about blues and R&B. Belushi soaked up the music like a sponge and used his new awareness to portray “Joliet” Jake Blues in The Blues Brothers\, first as a skit on Saturday Night Live\, then a best-selling record album (which was dedicated to Curtis) and finally as a major motion picture (Cab Calloway’s character in the film was named Curtis as an homage).

SUMMARY:The Lonesome Ace Stringband
DESCRIPTION:Back for Round 2! \nMasters of their trade\, The Lonesome Ace Stringband bring grit\, skill and abandon to Americana music\, bridging old-time\, bluegrass and folk traditions into a seamless hybrid of original material that is at once fresh and timeless. \nInstrumentation alone sets this Toronto-based trio’s sound apart: consisting simply of fiddle (John Showman)\, clawhammer banjo (Chris Coole)\, and upright bass (Max Heineman).  The spine-tingling harmonies and interchanging lead vocals only bring more magic to the equation. They’ve become festival favourites at Rockygrass\, Celtic Connections\, Winnipeg Folk Festival\, Merlefest and regularly tour the USA\, UK\, Germany and\, of course\, Canada. \nWith more than a decade of group music-making under their belts\, they’re releasing their fifth album\, a feisty and mighty collection of all-original material titled ‘Try To Make It Fly’ (October 13\, 2023). \nCall Lonesome Ace Stringband whatever genre you want – they are just unorthodox enough to be brilliant.

SUMMARY:Tony Furtado Trio
DESCRIPTION:Americana Roots via a multi-instrumentalist with a dizzying musical toolbox… \nTony is an evocative and soulful singer\, a wide-ranging songwriter and a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist adept on banjo\, cello-banjo\, slide guitar and baritone ukulele who mixes and matches sounds and styles with the flair of a master chef (he’s also an accomplished sculptor\, but that’s another story). \n“…true talent doesn’t need categories.”\n-Relix Magazine \n“…a major musical force without doubt. SUMMARY:BLKBOK
DESCRIPTION:Born and raised in Detroit’s inner-city\, BLKBOK (born Charles Wilson IIl)\, grew up in a music-filled house. While his parents and siblings were all musically inclined little Charles could always be found walking his chubby fingers up and down the piano keys. His Mom had no choice but to nurture her baby’s keyboard obsession and by the time he was 8\, BLKBOK was an acclaimed piano prodigy\, winning statewide accolades and college-level competitions. \nWhen it came to music\, most of the kids he grew up with pursued hip-hop adopting rapper names. However\, it’s no coincidence that Charles chose the name BLKBOK\, which echoes that of one of the greatest pianists and composers of all time. The tag is also an apt reflection of the elements that have contributed to the artist’s identity and symbolizes his colorful journey from pop and hip-hop culture to his critically acclaimed\, neo-classical debut album Black Book\, and various Mixtape projects and collaborations. \nBLKBOK is no stranger to the industry grind\, having hit the road throughout his career as a lead pianist or musical director with artists including Rihanna\, Justin Timberlake\, Demi Lovato\, Cirque Du Soleil\, John Mayer and more. BLKBOK’s explosive and immersive live music performances engage his audience with his incredible talent and channels his experience from sharing the stage with the World’s biggest performers.

SUMMARY:Bourbon & Bellows
DESCRIPTION:Bourbon and Bellows is an acoustic 5-piece band from the Yakima Valley that plays New Orleans-style blues\, folk\, and gypsy jazz. Featuring accordion\, fiddle\, and three-part harmonies\, their music encompasses songs over a century old alongside new compositions that you could have sworn you’ve heard before on some old LP. Their songs are toe-tapping\, funny\, dark\, and just a little bit naughty. Formed in 2019\, B&B has weathered the current musical climate with a style that doesn’t fit easily in any category\, but is instantly accessible to anyone wanting to stomp their feet and sing along with good friends having a great time. They released their first album last fall and are playing all over the Pacific Northwest in support of it.\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyVEttsCEg4&list=TLGGma0e7oTdKTAwMTA1MjAyNA&t=5s

SUMMARY:Kevn Kinney & Bobby Bare Jr
DESCRIPTION:A SINGER-SONGWRITER SHOWCASE ! \nKevn Kinney\nis the lead singer / songwriter of the Atlanta rock band\, Drivin N Cryin\, who recently celebrated the release of their 9th studio album\, ‘Live the Love Beautiful’\, on Drivin N Cryin Records. Since the band’s 1985 inception\, he’s released some spare acoustic records on his own\, often collaborating with R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck. \nMacDougal Blues\, released on Island Records in 1990\, announced the rocker’s arrival on the folk scene\, with the engaging title cut and nine more acoustic tracks\, produced by Buck\, and mostly played by his bandmates from Drivin N Cryin. \nThough often cited as a working-class lyricist\, Kinney cannot easily be thrown into the same bag as Springsteen\, Mellencamp\, or Dave Alvin. Instead\, his is a unique spin on class\, not urban yet not completely rural. \nKinney still continues to tour as a solo artist in-between dates with Drivin N Cryin\, and is known to help host the annual Christmas Jam in Asheville with Warren Haynes. Darius Rucker cut Kinney’s song\, Straight To Hell\, on his album When Was The Last Time. The Drivin N Cryin song was a major hit on their album\, Mystery Road\, originally released in 1989. \nBobby Bare Jr\nYes – he is the son of Bobby Bare\, but his own body of work is impressive.  In 1974 – Bobby Jr and his daddy were both nominated for a Grammy for the song “Daddy What If”\, written by Shel Silverstein.  At 30 – he led the roots-rock outfit Bare Jr and released several critically acclaimed albums. \nHis next band was the Young Criminals Starvation League – which included members from And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and My Morning Jacket.  He’s had a number of solo albums\, and over the last several years he has performed\, recorded and toured with Guide by Voices. \nThis show will be special.

SUMMARY:FANTASTIC CAT !!!
DESCRIPTION:THE CAT CAME BACK!\nIf you’ve been familiar with us for any length of time – you know it is RARE for us to have a band back twice in the same calendar year.  But these guys blew us away in February – they’re back in the area in September – they wanted to come back for another show and we said ABSOLUTELY!  Plus – they’ve got a new album out which is getting stellar reviews. \nThey’re songs are collaborative – mostly.  They feature different lead singers (mostly)\, different drummers (kind of)\, different bass players (of sorts)\, different lead guitarists (in a manner of speaking)\, but the chemistry among these four is producing some of the BEST pop music currently being made.  The last show sold out – DO NOT WAIT! \n(Only 8\,000 hours until they’re eligible for the R&R Hall of Fame!)

SUMMARY:Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle
DESCRIPTION:You know him.  You love him.  Well\, at least we do.  And it is always a treat to have Ben Rice and his amazing band perform for us at Brewminatti. \nAlthough Ben’s first passion was guitar\, he diligently hones his singing to best support his original tunes. Besides the technical exercises that build and maintain his vocal abilities\, he puts significant thought into what his singing conveys. In performance he strives to be mindful of the meaning behind his lyrics\, treating every song like a story and evoking the mood of what the story’s main character is going through. “I try to write songs that hold weight and meaning\, but my songs mean whatever they need to for whoever hears them\,” Ben says. “I want people to enjoy my music on their own terms.” \nIn 2023 Ben added horns\, vocal harmonies\, piano and organ to his lineup for a larger\, more energetic band that he calls Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle. The response locally and on tour has been electric – the higher-intensity presentation of Ben’s music brings audiences to their feet and makes it clear Ben Rice is a formidable artist with more career triumphs still in his future.

SUMMARY:Tyron Benoit Band w/ Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters
DESCRIPTION:2024 Summer Concert Series – On the Patio @ WIT\nPresented in collaboration: Brewminatti & WIT Cellars\nWITH SPECIAL GUESTS:  Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters \nTyron Benoit’s music is just as diverse as Cajun culture. When you listen to the band’s music\, there’s a dash of Zydeco\, a pinch of rock\, and a sprinkle of Americano. It’s culture that drives his passion\, and as they say\, there is no place like home.  Tyron\, a Houma native\, has a passion for the Cajun culture that has delved into his music\, “There are so many great musicians from our area and I think we take that for granted because we grow up with it\,” he said. “It goes all the way back to my grandpa’s house. He was an unbelievable harmonica and fiddle player…music was born with us.” Other than the folk influence from his grandfather\, his family frequently listened to Classic Rock\, which the fusion is evident in Tyron’s music today. Genre isn’t the only diverse aspect of Tryon’s music. Although his love is playing guitar\, he also plays the keyboard and accordion. He views instruments as tools and a way to not only tell his story but his way to keep the Cajun culture alive. \nTicket options:\nBring your own chair / blanket\nBring your own chair / blanket plus pre-purchased dinner \nSeat at a table – provided\nSeat at a table plus pre-purchased dinner \nFood provided by The Prosser House\n– options for this show will include\n– NOLA-style Jambalaya\n– Beer Braised Hot Links\n– also available for purchase at show\, but $5 more \n \n \nAshleigh Flynn & The Riveters\n“A live set that leaps out of the speakers and grabs your attention from the git go… You can call this music Country\, Americana\, or whatever you want\, but the way the guitars bite\, the drums pound\, and the bass drives\, I will say that this is some of the finest Rocking ‘n’ Rolling ensemble playing I’ve heard… Add to that some delicious accordion and fun and catty background vocals and this whole 45 minute set goes by way too fast.” \n– The Rocking Magpie

SUMMARY:Eilen Jewell
DESCRIPTION:One of our perennial favorites! \nHailed as “one of America’s most intriguing\, creative\, and idiosyncratic voices” by American Songwriter\, Jewell built her career the old fashioned way\, touring relentlessly with the kind of undeniable live show that converts the uninitiated into instant acolytes. Over the course of nearly two decades on the road\, the Idaho native has crisscrossed the US\, Europe\, and Australia countless times\, playing an endless series of headline and festival dates in addition to sharing bills with the likes of Lucinda Williams\, Loretta Lynn\, Mavis Staples\, Wanda Jackson\, George Jones\, Emmylou Harris\, and The Blind Boys of Alabama. Rolling Stone lauded Jewell’s “clever writing\,” while NPR declared that she has a “sweet and clear voice with a killer instinct lurking beneath the shiny surface\,” and The Washington Post mused that “if Neko Case\, Madeleine Peyroux and Billie Holiday had a baby girl who grew up to front a rockabilly band\, she’d probably sound a lot like Eilen Jewell.”

SUMMARY:Ian Moore Band w/ Diego Romero
DESCRIPTION:2024 Summer Concert Series – The PATIO @ WIT Cellars!\nThis show is a collaboration between Brewminatti & WIT Cellars\n\nNOTE:  Due to the forecasted temperature of high 90’s for Thursday\, we are moving this show to The Patio at WIT Cellars to take advantage of the shade.  You will still need to bring your own chairs\,blankets\, etc.\, but we should be in shade by showtime.  Big Wheezy’s BBQ will be on hand\, along with great wine and beer! \nIf you’ve ever seen Ian and his blues-rock band live – you probably still remember it fondly and maybe even talk about it periodically.  It’s always an incredible show put on by a collection of amazing musicians.   It oozes soul and virtuosity.  A child prodigy on classical violin\, Ian slashed all the tendons in his right hand in a bizarre accident… which ultimately led him to guitar. He toured with Joe Ely for a while\, amassed a big\, Texas-blues following\, and then signed to the Capricorn record label.  His first album shot to the top of the charts\, immediately – and suddenly he was opening for The Rolling Stones\, ZZ Top\, and Bob Dylan.  Then fate – and bad management at the label – caused him to step back\, re-evaluate\, re-locate and re-launch.  And has he ever. \nOpening is another of our favorites – Diego Romero from Walla Walla.  Diego is an up-and-comer and this will be a GREAT show. \n \n\n\n\n\nBRING \n\n\nLEAVE \n\n\n\n\nBlanket /  Towel / Chair \n\n\nNo strollers / wagons \n\n\n\n\nEmpty re-usable water bottles \n\n\nNo weapons \n\n\n\n\nPersonal Umbrellas \n\n\nNo flags \n\n\n\n\nPhones \n\n\nNo smoking of anything \n\n\n\n\nBinoculars \n\n\nNo outside food or beverages \n\n\n\n\nKindness and respect \n\n\nNo golf umbrellas \n\n\n\n\n\nNo pets of any kind \n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:The Sea Monks
DESCRIPTION:2024 Summer Concert Series – On the Patio @ WIT Cellars\nPresented in Collaboration with Brewminatti & WIT Cellars\n\nThe tale starts in San Diego\, with a young Noah asking for a guitar after hearing Folsom Prison Blues.  A few years later\, his younger brother Kai got a drum set\, they talked Dad into playing bass – and the band was born.  They got pretty good – developing their love of outlaw country\, western swing\, rockabilly\, blues and good ol’ rock & roll.  Then they added a gen-u-ine guitar slinger and they’ve been tearing it up ever since.  This will be a grand night on the Patio at WIT\, the music will keep you moving and grooving! \nThis video is now 5 years old – so the lads are older (and better!) – but it perfectly showcases their range of influences.  This gonna be HOOT! \nTicket options:\nBring your own chair / blanket\nBring your own chair / blanket plus pre-purchased dinner \nSeat at a table – provided\nSeat at a table plus pre-purchased dinner \nFood provided by The Prosser House\n– options for this show will include:\n– Fish Tacos\n– Grilled Mojo-Marinated Chicken Thighs\n– Grilled Skirt Steak\n– also available for purchase at show\, but $5 more

SUMMARY:Griffin House
DESCRIPTION:Its always a good time with singer-songwriter Griffin House. \nAfter forging a loyal fan base through years of grassroots touring as an opener for acts such as John Mellencamp and the Cranberries\, House broke through as a national headliner in 2009 with an appearance on Late Night with Craig Ferguson and the release of his underground hit “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind.” \nThe music documentary “Rising Star\,” released on Amazon Prime in 2019\, chronicles House’s journey through the music business\, as he attempts to balance the challenges of life as a traveling modern-day troubadour with marriage\, fatherhood and sobriety.\nHouse’s music has been featured on prime time television shows such One Tree Hill\, Rescue Me\, Party of Five\, and Everwood\, and reviewed in magazines such as Paste\, No Depression and Rolling Stone. American Songwriter writes “if you want to be blown away by raw talent\, look no further than Griffin House.” His latest release “The Tides” is a five song EP recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Jacquire King and is set for release on Aug 29\, 2023. House will appear this year at Sisters Folk Festival and will continue his US tour in 2023-2024.

SUMMARY:Fruition
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE:  Due to the heat\, we have moved this show from The Vines to The Patio – where we have much more shade.  Bring your chairs\, blankets\, personal umbrellas\, etc…and be a few degrees cooler!\n\nThis show is a collaboration between Brewminatti & WIT Cellars\nThe first time they ever made music together\, Fruition’s three lead singer/songwriters discovered that their voices naturally blended into stunning three-part harmony. Their soaring three-part harmonies and raucous guerilla performances initially captivated crowds on street corners and festival campgrounds throughout the west coast\, but their remarkable 15-year journey has seen them emerge as a singular force in the world of Americana on some of the nation’s biggest stages. Channeling the delicate\, playful\, and honest focus on song-craft and vocal harmony of groups like the Beatles and CSNY\, the band continues to create timeless and genuine folk\, roots\, and rock ‘n roll. Characterized by three accomplished songwriters and a rhythm section that serves each song with a finely tuned attention to detail and tasteful aesthetic\, Fruition manages to consistently release a body of work that is both uniquely their own and instantly familiar. \nReleasing a new highly-anticipated record in 2024 – better catch them now. \n \n \n\n\n\n\nBRING \n\n\nLEAVE \n\n\n\n\nBlanket /  Towel / Chair \n\n\nNo strollers / wagons \n\n\n\n\nEmpty re-usable water bottles \n\n\nNo weapons \n\n\n\n\nPersonal Umbrellas \n\n\nNo flags \n\n\n\n\nPhones \n\n\nNo smoking of anything \n\n\n\n\nBinoculars \n\n\nNo outside food or beverages \n\n\n\n\nKindness and respect \n\n\nNo golf umbrellas \n\n\n\n\n\nNo pets of any kind

SUMMARY:Cristina Vane
DESCRIPTION:Born in Italy to a Sicilian-American father and a Guatemalan mother\, Cristina Vane has always had a tenuous relationship with identity and place. She grew up between England\, France and Italy\, and was fluent in four languages by the time she moved to her fathers’ native United States for university at 18.  Despite this\, (and perhaps because of it) she had no sense of belonging to any one culture or country.  What she did have\, however\, was an intense love of music.  Powered by her signature take on blues and rock\, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cristina Vane’s debut album\, Nowhere Sounds Lovely\, earned her praise from the likes of American Songwriter and Rolling Stone Country\, which deemed it ‘mesmerizing stuff’.  The 2021 release was written largely on a road trip across America.  Since then\, Vane has laid down roots in Nashville and had the opportunity to spend more time exploring internally.  On her sophomore album “Make Myself Me Again”\, Vane has found a way all the way around the country and right back to herself\, both musically and personally.  “I’ve been trying to peel back the layers\, to understand who I am\, and I think that process has translated to this record\,” she explains\, “The production is straightforward\, more minimal\, and a bit of a return to my rock roots but still paying homage to the music I’ve explored since then”. \nAfter graduating from Princeton with a degree in Comparative Literature\, Vane moved to Los Angeles where she worked at McCabe’s Guitar Shop\, and spent every free moment working on her music\, studying fingerstyle guitar with mentor Pete Steinberg. Those years pushed her into deeper exploration of country blues picking and old folk guitar styles. In the last few years she’s taken a deep dive into old-time and bluegrass music\, adding clawhammer banjo to her arsenal of instruments.

SUMMARY:William Elliot Whitmore
DESCRIPTION:A man armed only with a banjo and a bass drum can be a formidable force\, especially if his name is William Elliott Whitmore.  With his powerful voice and honest approach\, Whitmore comes from the land\, growing up on a family farm in Lee County\, Iowa.  Still living on the same farm today\, Whitmore has truly taken the time to discover where his center lies\, and from that he will not be moved. \nWilliam Elliott Whitmore has been back and forth across the United States and to cities around the world.  He’s toured with such diverse acts as Frank Turner\, Trampled By Turtles\, Clutch and Chris Cornell to name a few.  He’s appeared on some of the biggest stages around the world including Stagecoach Fest\, Byron Bluesfest (Australia) and End of the Road Fest (UK).  His willingness to take his show to any playing field has proved invaluable as he turned strangers to diehards with every performance. \n \n

SUMMARY:Kimmi Bitter & The Westside Twang
DESCRIPTION:This one’s gonna be a hoot y’all! \nCentered around the vein of old-school country with a touch of the swinging sixties\, Kimmi Bitter and the Westside Twang are here to transport you on a retro journey into the year 1962 through their nostalgic original songs. Effortlessly navigating through country ballads in her mod wardrobe and love of white boots\, Bitter has drawn strong comparisons to Patsy Cline\, Nancy Sinatra\, and Tammy Wynette. “Immediately riveting classic country fans and stimulating chill bumps from the eerie similarities to Patsy Cline\, ‘My Grass Is Blue’ is solid country gold\,” says Saving Country Music who nominated the song for 2022 Single of the Year (read article) alongside fellow nominees Charley Crockett\, Sierra Ferrell\, and Zach Bryan. She also found recognition in her hometown winning Best Country/Americana Artist and “My Grass is Blue” was nominated for Song of the Year by the San Diego Music Awards 2023.
